Recently I had a conversation with my mother about tattoos. She's pretty convinced that I'll never get one, simply because of the pain involved. She may be right on that score; my pain threshold is not so high, bordering on nonexistent. I think an obstacle I have that's bigger than that one would simply be that tattoos are so freaking expensive to get, and since it's something you're getting permanently etched on your body, it's not the kind of thing you should go bargain shopping for. Even so, I still fantasize about what images/quotes I might choose to mark on my skin, and here are 5 ideas that have been rattling in my brain.
#1: Envelope/Love Note Tattoo! My love for snail mail is definitely deep enough that I would display that love on my skin - I'm especially fond of the little love note on the back of the neck, not because it could be easily hidden but because it wouldn't be as painful as, say, a wrist tattoo.
#2: Paper Airplane Tattoo! It was finding the top-left tattoo design that originally caused me to become fascinated with the idea of a paper airplane tattoo - probably because it reminds me of my love for snail mail and paper crafts, but it also might be a reference to the adorable animated short film "Paperman."
#3: Tiny Tina "Chocolate Chip Cookies" Quote Tattoo! This is a tattoo that I always joke about getting, although not in this exact design. There is a quote from Tiny Tina in Borderlands 2 that would make the perfect tattoo, mainly because it references a tattoo as part of the quote:
"Real Badasses eat CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES! Imma get that tattooed on my back in Olde English Font."And, of course, "Olde English Font" would be in - you guessed it - olde English font XD
#4 & #5: Gamer & Bookworm Tattoos! These styles of tattoos would perfectly express my love for the hobbies and fandoms that I have grown up with, and that have gotten me through the hardest times in my life. Video games and books have always been a constant in my life, and that is something worth showing to the world in a gorgeous & colourful design on my skin :)
